Fast Forward Flight

Fast Forward Flight (FFF) is a helicopter term used to describe high-speed forward flight where the helicopter can be flown in a similar manner to a fixed-wing (i.e. altitude is controlled with cyclic and power with collective), as opposed to low-speed forward flight (FF) where the helicopter is flown as if it is hovering, using the collective on it's own to control the altitude.

For fixed-wings, FFF is normal and high-alpha flight is the alternative, when the throttle is used to control the altitude.
