Low-Voltage Cut-Off

Most ESCs will switch off the motor when the battery voltage drops too low.

  • For old brushed ESCs, this is usually 5v - to keep the receiver working.
  • For brushless ESCs, this is usually 3v per cell, to avoid over discharging lipos. There is usually some method to set the number of cells.
