Multiplex TwinJet

The Multiplex Twinjet is a discontinued twin-pusher model made from Elapor with flight characteristics similar to a jet aicraft.

The Twinjet was originally designed for 2 Permax 480 brushed motors and nickel cells, but many owners have upgraded to lithium cells and brushless power systems, some of very high power giving speeds well in excess of 100mph.

Many brushless conversions use a single, larger propellor as the design of the Twinjet is such that with twin motors, the prop size is limited by clearance on the tail fin and the other prop. Combined with the proximity of the trailing edge of the wing, this can lead to a fairly noisy model.

The Twinjet was available in several colour schemes.

The TwinJet was replaced by the FunJet.
